What to prepare

The most important element is the heater, each radiator needs one power up to 1 kW.

Tena are connected by flexible cables, the ends are tinned. For installation work, you must have a set of locksmith tools. The pressure is controlled by a pressure gauge.

Prepare heating elements with temperature regulators and wires with a plug, the cross-section of the cores must be at least 2 square meters. mm In our case, the heating element power is 700 W, the scale of regulation of the temperature regulator is 40–80 degrees Celsius.

Unscrew the two bolts and remove the thermostat, this is necessary to facilitate its connection.

Install a gasket on the metal housing of the heater; it is included with the battery. Tighten the heater tightly with a gas wrench.

Check the correct position of the heater. To do this, remove the plug and inspect the inside of the radiator, in our case it was a piece of sheet aluminum. The unpleasant news - the battery is made by an unlicensed company. If the plate were to remain in the radiator, then no purges and air vents would improve the circulation of water.

Tin the ends of the wire and screw it to the terminals of the thermostat.

Fill with water, the volume depends on the number of sections.

Hang the battery on the wall and turn on the heater. Wait a bit and check the effectiveness. After 20-30 minutes, the battery will start to warm up well.

The radiator can withstand a pressure of 16 bar, to eliminate rupture due to the expansion of water, this parameter must be controlled.

Screw the adapter to the pressure gauge, make sealing with a special tape. Install the device on the radiator. If there is little experience and it was not possible to tighten the pressure gauge in the desired position, then remove the knee and fix the sensor directly on the battery.

Check the pressure on the most heated radiator. In fact, it does not exceed one Bar, which is quite safe; it is not necessary to install an expansion tank.


This is just a temporary option to work under supervision. Using such a battery without grounding it is prohibited. You also need to use an RCD to enable it.
