How to make four cheese pizza

There was a time when pizza was a simple dish of ordinary residents of Italy. However, now it is one of the most famous in the world and popular among all segments of the population dishes of Italian cuisine. At home, you can cook a simple version of this dish using products that are at hand. As a rule, sausage, cheese, tomatoes, and tomato sauce become the filling for home-made pizza. But you can cook more “Italian” pizza called “quatro formagio”. This name in the native language sounds like four cheeses.

Flour and cheeses made in Italy differ from domestic products, however, following the principles of making four cheeses pizza, you can cook it yourself in the home kitchen.

Traditionally, the following cheeses are used for quatro formagio:

  • blue cheese dor blue;

  • hard parmesan;

  • soft mozzarella;

  • sweet maasdam.

All these types of cheese are not a problem to find in the distribution network. Even if they were produced not in Italy, but in domestic dairies, homemade four cheese pizza is very tasty. If any cheese is not on sale, you can pick up any other cheese with similar characteristics.

To make four cheeses pizza at home you need:

  • mozzarella 60 g;

  • blue cheese 60 g;

  • Parmesan or any hard cheese 30 g;

  • Maazdam cheese or casket 60 g.

For the test:

  • flour 160 - 170 g;

  • water 100 ml;

  • oil 20 ml;

  • salt 3 g;

  • sugar 10 g;

  • yeast 7 g.

1. Despite the fact that you can find a ready-made pizza base for sale, it’s better to make the dough for it yourself. To do this, knead a simple yeast dough in water with the addition of a small amount of oil. It is preferable to use olive, but you can take any odorless vegetable oil. To prepare the dough, you need to put sugar, salt and yeast in warm water. Pour in oil and add flour. Knead the dough. Leave the pizza dough for 40 minutes in a warm place.

2. Grate parmesan or any hard cheese with fine cloves.

3. Break mozzarella with your hands or chop.

4. Break blue cheese into small pieces.

5. Grate mazdam or cheese casket on a coarse grater.

6. Roll out the dough. You need to do this as thinly as possible.

7. It is desirable that the base for pizza four cheeses was no thicker than 4-5 mm.

8. Spread grated Parmesan all over the pizza base.

9. Arrange the pieces of mozzarella and blue cheese.

10. Sprinkle with mazdam or cheese casket on top. You can add a pinch of dry oregano, which in Italy is called oregano.

11. Heat the oven to + 190. Put a baking tray with pizza four cheeses inside.

After about 12 to 15 minutes, homemade pizza with four kinds of cheese is ready.
